Happy Thursday! OK, so there is lots to see, do and TASTE! Three events that are sure to be delicious ones include Liberty Lake Wine Cellars' Aquila Red Blend Release , Small Plates Tasting Featuring William Church Winery at Europa Restaurant, and 315 at The Greenbriar's Bourbon Tasting Event. Additional events that will certainly delight include: Thursday Wine Social at Gourmet Way, Patio Performers featuring Isaac Walton and Current Flow at Arbor Crest, Spokane's Chinese Lantern Festival, Kellogg's Tour of Gymnastics Champions at Spokane Arena, The Italian OPEN Charity Golf Scramble at Stoneridge Golf Course, Annual Kootenai River Ride in Bonners Ferry, Spokane Jazz Orchestra with Wycliffe Gordon at The Bing Crosby Theater, Scenic Half Marathon in Sandpoint, Tapas Cooking Class at The Culinary Stone, Gallagher's Last Smash Tour at Panida Theater, and Northern Quest Outdoor Summer Concert featuring Dierks Bentley with Tucker Beathard.

AQUILA RED BLEND RELEASE PARTY Sat. Sept. 17 Liberty Lake Wine Cellars’ newest red wine is ready for release. The Aquila (pronounced ‘A-quill-a’) is a Red Mountain red blend from the 2011 vintage consisting of 65% Merlot, 25% Petit Verdot, and 10% Syrah. This is a well-rounded wine with a lasting finish that pairs well with most food. You won’t want to miss it. Read more

SMALL PLATES TASTING Tues. Sept. 20, 6pm Held at Spokane’s downtown Europa Restaurant, with William Church’s representative as your guide, taste two wine samples with each of three delicious small plate offerings prepared by Chef/Owner Jeff Engel, who is extremely enthusiastic about wine and food combinations! BOURBON TASTING Wed. Sept. 21, 7pm This tasting event features nine bourbons and a demo on a special Bourbon drink by the bartender, as well as appetizers and an educational presentation by Dean Opsal. Cost is only $30. Seating is limited. Read more
