Performing Arts Series returns September 27 for the 2023-2024 season By Jillian Chandler
The Pend Oreille Arts Council is excited to announce their 2023-2024 Performing Arts Series season lineup, and it kicks off in September.
The premiere of this year’s series happens Wednesday, September 27, with Utah’s Repertory Dance Theatre (RDT) taking the Panida stage. RDT dancers will captivate the audience as they showcase beauty, innovation and immense athleticism through their variety of dances filled with high-energy, humor and drama.
The following month, on Saturday, October 28, the series invites you to dance and sing to "Bordeno-Soul" with Jarabe Mexicano, a multigenerational ensemble whose traditional Mariachi string instruments and Norteño-inspired drums complement their dramatic vocals. Representing an eclectic mix of genres, featuring Mexican folk, rock 'n' roll, Norteño/Tex-Mex, Latin rock, trío romántico and popular Cumbia, this concert has something for everyone.
The Missoula Children’s Theatre and more than 60 local students will present an original musical adaptation of the classic tale of King Arthur in King Arthur’s Quest on Saturday, November 18.
The series continues into the new year with Letters Aloud: Road to Fame (January 18), Tien Hsieh (February 14), The Sweet Remains (March 5) and concludes with Dino-Light (April 12).
